Box Spring / August 3, 2018 / Halette.
If your purpose for a platform bed is to have a lower profile that adding a box spring might not make any sense. There are platform beds that have that have a much lower foundation that can easily set up the box spring and mattress. This way you can get the best setup for your mattress and still have that desire low profile. Slats can take place for the box spring. But once again you should refer to your manufactures guide. Depending on your mattress thickness you could possibly feel the sagging around the spacing of your slats. Off course the closer the slats the better but most of the times the slats are built in and only able to adjust them minimally.
With platform beds the mattress rests directly on the frame. The frame contains slats of wood stretching from side to side and these provide more than enough support for the mattress. Thus a nice bed frame and a nice mattress can finally exist in harmony without the cumbersome presence of a box spring. This makes overall use of the bed much simpler. For one thing creaking will be in the past. The springs inside a box spring tend to rust and wear out over time and this creates audible and annoying noise. The solid construction of platform beds prevents unnecessary shifting and eliminates the noise problem.
Realistically from all of the research I have done on this (and with a girlfriend that constantly debates this point with me Ive done my share of research) I have concluded that box springs only do two things well and that is 1. increase the overall height of the bed and 2. soften the overall firmness of the bed (given that the box spring is not extremely firm). Helping the mattress last longer is a distant distant and arguable third. As a person who neither cares for a tall bed nor a soft bed I found that platform beds are the most stylishly modern environmentally-friendly pieces of furniture to complement my mattress. You simply dont need a box spring for your mattress/bed.
Taking all of this into consideration having more a few different types of spring coats is going to be the safest bet to cover all of your bases and keep your not only looking fashionable but more importantly also warm and dry. You cannot go wrong with a plus size wool coat or even a blazer for those warmer months. The most important type of jacket or coat you can own during this season is hands down a good plus size raincoat since they are the safest bet in terms of providing significant warmth and protection against the weird elements during this time of the year. Investing into an elegant raincoat and matching accessories is a must but it is also not practical to wear during the hotter days; this is where you need to diversify and begin to add various other spring outerwear and clothing into your wardrobe.
