Box Spring / September 7, 2017 / Roesia Merle
Some moving suppliers will have boxes specially designed for standard bed sizes. This can be a big help for keeping the mattress stable during transport. Padding around the box spring is also recommended to keep the harder lower corners from putting little dents in the wall. There can never be enough padding on furniture while it moves in and out of the home. There most damage done to the wall and floors occur because large heavy objects are dropped or swung around too fast. Caution and a good blanket for cushion can prevent a lot of heart ache later.
If you simply cannot afford it then that is all there is to it. If you think yours do not meet the standard then you can get rid of them but you will want some form of support. If you cannot afford box springs wood supports are an option even though they may not be as strong. If you choose not to buy box springs you should check and make sure any bedding you purchase are still under warranty. Since the mattress stores believe it helps mattresses to last they may only let the warranty work if you purchase both together. It may depend on the store so you should ask.
The most important and healthiest thing to remember is to wash your sheets blankets pillowcases and mattress covers if you have them in hot water a minimum of once a week! Wash your mattress and pillow encasings once every 2 to 3 months and if your mattress encasings are protected with a mattress cover wash your encasings in hot water once every 4 to 6 months Also keep your home clean as possible! Use quality HEPA air cleaners or HEPA air purifiers with a high air exchange rate per hour in the needed bedrooms and family room. Purchase and vacuum often with a quality HEPA vacuum cleaner that is totally sealed so it does not leak dust and allergens back into the air while vacuuming! Thank you for reading this report.
